Topics include media management, working at various resolutions, storyboard
editing techniques, advanced trimming techniques for maintaining sync
including multi-track trimming and segment editing, using Matchframe,
Replace edit, modifying timecode, post-syncing separate video and audio
elements, subclipping, audio techniques including modifying stereo and
mono properties, subframe audio editing, and recording voice overs directly
into Final Cut Pro. Also discussed is creating and saving customized project
and screen layouts and transferring customized settings to other workstations.

include keyframe animation, multiple layers, Alpha types, split screens,
nesting, masks and mattes, keying, composite modes and travel mattes.
There will be an introduction to working with FX Builder, Final Cut Pro's
native tool for creating customized filters and transitions. Tips, tricks
and techniques are explored for working with effects and minimizing render
time. In addition, students will learn the basics of working with Final
Cut Pro and other applications including Adobe Photoshop and After Effects,
and Discreet Cleaner.

Final Cut Pro 310 - Color Correction And Finishing
In Final Cut Pro
A two-day program designed for those who are interested in finishing
techniques with Final Cut Pro 3.0. Topics include signal flow, working
with Final Cut Pro's video scopes and external scopes in preparing for
broadcast ready programs. Color correcting is explored using Final Cut
Pro's new palette of color correction tools to perform scene to scene
correction, neutralizing white, black and mid-tone ranges, creating natural
and stylized looks, performing primary and secondary color correction
and modifying the tonal range of images. Other issues explored deal with
working between color spaces, interlace artifacts and creating refined
titles.
