FC10 Final Cut Pro 4 - Final Cut Pro Editing
Upon completion of the course material, students can become an Apple
Pro by taking the certification exam at our Apple Authorized Training
Center. Successful certification as an Apple Pro gives you official recognition
of your knowledge of Apple’s pro applications and allows you to
market yourself to employers and clients as a skilled, Pro-level user
of Apple’s products.
If students desire to takeThe Final Cut Pro 4 Level One exam please
notify us when registering. Due to the volume of material covered it is
recommended that the exam be taken after sufficient review and practice
time.
Level 1 Course topics include:
• Basic setup, Adjusting and customizing preferences and settings
• Creating and saving customized project and screen layouts
• Capturing video/audio and Project management
• Working at various resolutions
• Storyboard editing techniques
• Adding transitions
• Edit sync material, Trim sequences, slip and slide editing
• Audio editing, mixing audio tracks, and using audio meters
• Linking / unlinking audio and video
• Using video generators to create text and shapes
• Final output to videotape and exporting audio
• Media management
• Advanced trimming techniques for maintaining sync including
multi-track trimming and segment editing using matchframe
• Replace edit
• Subclipping
• Audio techniques including modifying sterio and mono properties
• Recording voice-overs directly in Final Cut Pro
Level 2 Course topics include:
• Working with motion
• Working with transparency including composite modes, alpha and
luma mattes
• Nesting.
• Creating an audio score with Soundtrack
• Creating an animated Title with LiveType
• Applying filters in Final cut Pro
• Color correcting clips
Prerequisites: Macintosh OSX. If students wish to take
level 2 only permission of the instructor is required.
